Upon graduation, I visited my childhood pharmacy for a career discussion with a pharmacist, Gene Thompson who inspired me to pursue a pharmacy career in order to provide service to the community. I completed pharmacy school in 2007 at Wingate University School of Pharmacy as a part of the inaugural class, then in 2008 I completed a community pharmacy residency through Wingate University School of Pharmacy and Kerr Drug in Lenoir, NC. I worked as a clinical pharmacist at the Kerr Drug in Concord, NC where I later advanced to managing the enhanced clinical services for the West Region of Kerr Drug. I was fortunate to be apart of Kerr Drug’s transition to Walgreens.

Why are you connected to the Concord community?
Why do you love what you do?
My focus is the expansion of clinical services and growing the opportunities for pharmacist involvement in patient-centered care. As pharmacists, we are more easily accessible than other providers, and I wish to use this to provide more sources for our patients. With these opportunities, my hope is to grow our patients’ confidence in managing their disease states and improving their health. I value the relationships I have built with our patients here, and look forward to building more meaningful relationships as we are able to help patients in a wider capacity going forward.
